As a gay male in the city of Thunder Bay, he explores and faces the challenges associated with a sense of community in this setting.

David Allan King is the Artistic Director of OUT Productions in Montreal, devoted to professional queer performing arts for over a decade. A freelance writer and director, David is a regular contributor to altmag, travel, queer and university magazines coast-to-coast. Recent projects include theatre productions at The Belfry Theatre (Victoria), Theatre Network (Edmonton), Tarragon Theatre and Canadian Stage Company (Toronto), The Grand Theatre (London) and Centaur Theatre (Montreal), as well as travel and theatre work in San Jose, Costa Rica.
