Hollwood, je t’aime | Thursday Night Movie!

Posted on December 9th, 2009 by OUTtv

Hollywood, je t’aime on OUTtv – Thursday Night Movie!
December 10th at 9pm ET/PT

Recently broken up and barely enduring a dreary winter, gay Parisian Jerome Beaunez impulsively books a solo Christmas vacation to Los Angeles. While there he meets some colorful locals and pursues a dormant desire to become a movie star – but never can quite put the past behind him. In this meditation on love and narcissism across continents, Jerome goes far in the sun-drenched City of Angels but ultimately arrives at an old Hollywood maxim: there’s no place like home.

Bright, funny, honest and utterly charming, Hollywood, je t’aime is a stunning debut for Jason Bushman. Bushman wrote the lead role for his friend Eric who had always talked of acting but worked in an office job in Paris where Jason spends half the year writing. Eric shines in his own debut as Jerome. His classic look and an amusing ease with his own awkwardness brings to mind Buster Keaton and Marcel Marceau.

Cast includes Eric Debets, Jonathan Blanc, Diarra Kilpatrick, Michael Airington, Chad Allen (Third Man Out/Shock to the System, Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, Our House).

I set my pvr to record this movie, and because out tv only allowed one and a half hours for the movie I ended up missing the end of the movie. As the movie must have been longer the one and a have hours, as I recorded it and watched it Thursday night, and when I realized the ending was missing I re recorded it in the early hours of friday morning and the same thing occurred , I am paying premium rates for this channel surely I should be able to record and watch you movies at my leisure. how disappointing.

I’d like to know when this is being rebroadcast. I tried to record this on my PVR, but when I went to watch it today, the first few minutes were missing. It’s (at least) a 95-minute film, but you only broadcast 88 minutes of it, in 90-minute a time slot, too small to show the whole film intact. Hopefully the rebroadcast will start on time, and be uncut. It’s what we’re paying you for. These sorts of problems should not be happening as frequently as they do.
