Julianne Moore and Stars at LA Premiere of ‘The Kids Are All Right’
102138378_JK_5875_3A3981572A517389D47F8DBDABF62B77 The much buzzed about new movie The Kids Are All Right opened the Los Angeles Film Festival on June 17th. The stars of the movie, including Julianne Moore (who with Annette Bening plays the lesbian parents of two children conceived by artificial insemination seeking to bring their birth father into their family life in the LGBT family film) came out to the premiere.
Out director/co-writer Lisa Cholodenko, stars Mark Ruffalo, Mia Wasikowska, and our favorite actress from Glee were also on hand at the event.

Lilith Fair is Coming…
The greatest and gayest music tour for women is returning to stages for their first time in over a decade. Lilith Fair fans were ecstatic to hear festival pioneers Sara MacLachlan, Erykah Badu, Indigo Girls, Sheryl Crow and Tegan and Sara would all be joining the 2010 tour.
Now, 15 additional cities have been added to the stops and a slew of new acts lesbians love. Lilith Tour 2010 just announced Loretta Lynn, Heart, Norah Jones, Cat Power, Sia, Gossip, La Roux, Beth Orton, Ceci Bastida, Erin McCarley, Frazey Ford, Julia Othmer, Kate Nash, Lights, Missy Higgins, Lissie, Marina & The Diamonds, Priscilla Renea, Rosie Thomas, Melissa McClelland, Toby Lightman and Elizaveta can all be seen on their stages this summer.
Jane Lynch Came Out Later
Count Jane Lynch as one of the celebrities who came out a little later in life. The successful comic actress who currently stars as sharp-tongued Cheerios coach Sue Sylvester on Glee says she didn’t come out to her parents until her early 30s.
Glenn Close Recalls Revelation in On-Screen Gay Kiss
Damages star Glenn Close revisited her favorite film roles from her impressive career for an article on The Daily Beast. Close recalled in detail the “revelatory” moment she experienced while playing Washington State National Guard colonel Margarethe Cammermeyer in Serving in Silence. Close portrayed the famous former officer who sues after being discharged for revealing her homosexuality.
Diversity Training Doesn’t Work
TweetShareWell, at least not as a stand alone solution to deeply ingrained biases. Studies have shown training in general can create a backlash. Enforced diversity training may be counter productive in that it actually activates biases.
So where does that leave us?
With mentor-ships and diversity task-forces which have been proven to have much better success rates. [...]
