Bump!

Charlie David and Shannon McDonough

Bump! is the world’s first and most-watched gay travel show, now in its fourth season. Join our hosts, sexy gay soap star Charlie David and comedic actor, Shannon McDonough as they criss-cross the globe in search of fun and adventure in exciting locales such as Tel Aviv, Victoria Falls, Miami Beach and beyond! In an engaging and upbeat half-hour, we give audiences a snapshot of living queer life large around the world. Each episode features a travelogue of a new gay-friendly destination covering culture, entertainment, cuisine, design and more, all from a gay perspective.

Hitting gay hotspots like Las Vegas, Cape Town and Mykonos, capital cities such as Zurich and London, and major gay tours like Atlantis Cruises to Egypt and Greece, Bump! takes viewers on a wild romp around the world, showcasing a fantastic slice of gay life. Bump! also delves into the always intriguing (and often risqué) social scene of each destination. From circuit parties to cafés, beaches to bathhouses, we find out where and how people connect for fun and “love”.

The show’s website bumptv.com is a gay traveler’s resource, with original webisodes and video clips from the on-air episodes. There are tips on things to do and see, eat and shop, plus links to attractions, events and other helpful information.

Shannon McDonough
Growing up in the Toronto area, Shannon was bitten by the show biz bug in kindergarten when she had to perform a rain dance wearing a medicine man mask for the grade 4 class next door. Unfortunately there were no eyes cut out of the mask and she did a face plant in the sandbox? But?she was hooked! She continued in theatre and trained with The Second City before branching out into television, film and voice work. Shannon is a performer, writer, and producer who devotes her time to seeing the funnier side of life.

Her writing debut, the dark comedy Ring?about working in a phone sex office?met with critical acclaim. Her other plays, Talking To Mom in Colour and Southern Belle were audience favorites at The New Ideas Festival at Toronto?s Alumnae Theatre. And Every Night?s Hot At The Va Va Voom, a brash and sassy musical about lesbian love in a 1940?s New Jersey Burlesque house.

Shannon has been seen on stage in Tony ?n Tina?s Wedding, and recently, Criminal Hearts. She?s also been spotted on screen in Mat Leave and Detour and all over television?s PrideVision TV, now OUTtv, being a Gay Jay, hosting events and touring with BUMP!
