Favorite Places

OUTtv Original Series

Favorite Places is a half-hour documentary series that takes viewers on a personal tour through some of North America's most interesting cities-and in each city, our guide is a prominent member of the GLBT community. In season one we featured Vancouver and this year we're headed to Calgary and Montreal.

From stunning vistas to cozy cafes, from throbbing nightclubs to peaceful galleries, Favorite Places will reveal our guide's personality, while giving viewers an entertaining look into what makes Calgary and Montreal fabulous places to live and an exciting place to visit.

Season 2 Episode 1:

Cst. Lynn MacDonald, GLBT Liaison for the Diversity Resource Unit of the Calgary Police Department shows us some of Calgary's gems. The Galaxie Diner, Art Central, Kensington Village, and 17th Ave are featured.

Season 2 Episode 2:

Brad Bostock, Executive Director of Childfind Alberta, takes us on a tour of his favorite places within Calgary. Higher Ground Café, Wildrose United Church, Spruce Meadows and Twigs & Company are featured.

Season 2 Episode 3:

Ken Schultz, owner of The Backlot bar in Calgary, offers us a sneak peak into what Calgary's more scenic spots have to offer. The Glenmore Reservoir, Elbow Falls, the River Café, and The Backlot are featured.
