Hot Pink Shorts: The Making Of
World premiere of a new series on OUTtv - it's a behind-the-scenes look at the filmmaking process, through a queer lens.
...Not your average wedding show. The program hosted by Canada's top up and coming comedian Trevor Boris, follows same sex couples before, after and during their marriage. Once the couple is Pronounced husband and husband or wife and wife, the couple is given a home video camera to record their daily lives for three weeks. Unlike other shows which solely concentrates on the ups and downs of wedding preparations, we let the viewer see who does the dishes and laundry!
The program, which debuts in September on OUTtv, has already covered several high profile weddings which include:
A. Four Israeli couples (gay men) came to Canada to tie the knot with the hope of challenging Israeli marriage law.
B. Our crew flew to Winnipeg to shoot a wedding featuring two men who have raised 21 foster kids over ten years.
C. Currently we have a crew in Ottawa filming the wedding of the gay couple (Alex and Lynn) from America's top rated show, "The Amazing Race".
D. Perhaps our most entertaining wedding took place on Memorial Day in Las Vegas where a transsexual woman married another woman at the Gay Las Vegas Chapel.
