From the big screen to the our small screen, OUTtv is drawing inspiration from the Gay, Lesbian and Transgender Film Festivals happening throughout the summer, all across Canada, by playing festival favourites all month long. We celebrate and honor their place in the community as party hosts, lynchpins and arbiters of taste and exceptional entertainment.

Unconditional Love After her husband (Dan Aykroyd) leaves her, a woman (Kathy Bates) travels to London for the funeral of the pop star, Victor Fox (Jonathan Pryce), she's adored all her life. There, she meets the lover (Rupert Everett) of the dead pop star, and convinces him to come back to Chicago with her to figure out who killed the singer.
Naked in New York Naked in New York is a likable, intimate look at the young couple Jake and Joanne (Eric Stoltz and Mary-Louise Parker), who meet in college and slowly see their lives pull apart. A struggling playwright with a rich imagination, Jake’s laziness is holding him back. It's a great showcase for the underappreciated Parker (Fried Green Tomatoes) and for Tony Curtis as an off-Broadway producer. In addition to the hugely likable cast are many catchy cameo appearances.
On The Downlow The explosive story of the relationship between Isaac and Angel, two young Latinos involved in a Southside Chicago gang. The decisions these men make and the paths they each take create a trap for them in a community where rules can't be broken and secrets won't be tolerated. With characters that defy stereotyping and a surprising tenderness, On The Downlow is an unconventional look at life in the hood.
In Her Line of Fire When the Vice President's plane goes down near a remote South American island, he is kidnapped by rebel forces and held for ransom. It is up to his female Secret Service agent and a press secretary to infiltrate the camp and save him. Starring Mariel Hemingway.

Far Side of the Moon After the death of his mother, a man tries to discover a meaning to his life, to the universe and to rebuild a relationship with the only family he has left: his brother. Far Side of the Moon is a 2003 film by Robert Lepage, based on the play by the same name by Robert Lepage and Adam Nashman. The leading characters are both played by Robert Lepage. The film was Canada's official nomination for the foreign-language Oscar.
The Trip When 19-year-old gay-rights activist Tommy and 24-year-old Alan first meet in 1973, they find themselves on the opposite sides of the political coin. Despite their many differences, they form a loving long-term relationship. In 1977, during Anita Bryant's crusade, an anti-gay book Alan wrote years before gets published without his consent. The book destroys Tommy's credibility as a well-known activist, resulting in Tommy and Alan's break-up. Seven years later, Alan is given a second chance, a reunion with Tommy and the opportunity to set things right.

533 Statements Follow filmmaker Tori Foster as she grabs her camera and travels 7000 kilometers across Canada to talk to 20 women about what it's like to be queer where they live. The documentary follows the 22-year- old's journey through all ten provinces, beginning in Newfoundland and ending in British Columbia.
A Place to Live: Triangle Square A Place to Live chronicles the journey of seven brave individuals as they attempt to secure a home in Triangle Square, Hollywood, the nation's first affordable housing facility for LGBT seniors. Since demand far exceeds the number of available apartments, a lottery system was set up to determine who would be selected. This film is a moving exploration of the applicants' personal stories and the journey that brought them to the lottery and what the future might hold.
