Shaun Proulx - In 2000 Shaun Proulx left a successful career in finance to pursue his creative ambitions. In 2009 Shaun Proulx was crowned 'King Of All Media' by fab magazine, and was featured on CBC's Connect with Mark Kelly in a career segment on successful people who were "technically unqualified, but rocked their careers based on sheer talent and moxie." In January 2010, Montreal's Hour magazine ranked Shaun on their 3rd annual Hot List.
The Shaun Proulx premiered with guests Vanessa Williams and Liza Minnelli to off-the-chart ratings. Previously, Shaun contributed to CBC's The HOUR, and MuchMoreMusic's Popaganda, among others. Owner and publisher of online magazine GayGuideToronto.com, Shaun's blog HIMBO was named in eye Weekly's Best of Toronto list.
He has appeared onstage in the Canadian premiere of Paul Rudnick's The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told (2000), and onscreen in Die Mutter, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2001. In 2006 he co-produced the Fashion Cares documentary DecAIDS - Anything Is Possible for Global Television. It won 'Best Social Documentary' at WorldFest in 2007, 'Best Full Length Feature' at the New York AIDS Film Festival in 2007 and was an official selection of the Hollywood Festival the same year.
Shaun lives in Toronto with his fiancé, Patrick Marano (aka porn star Eddie Stone), with whom he was named 'Canada's Next Power Couple' by Outlooks magazine in 2009. They have two dogs, Jack and Ella, and a cat, Annie.
