The Shaun Proulx Show

OUTtv Original Series

OUTtv is proud to announce the inclusion of The Shaun Proulx Show to it’s lineup.  As the star of the acclaimed Shaun Proulx Show on Proud Fm, Shaun makes the afternoon drive shine.  Starting Thursday October 1st, at 7:30 p.m. et/pt OUTtv brings Shaun and his radio world to the network, and we can’t wait. Featuring all the juicy details on todays hottest stars including blockbuster interviews with Liza Minelli, Lynda Carter, and Vanessa Williams, shockers like the interviews with both Tori and Candi Spelling and everything Top Model with Canada’s voice of fashion Jeanne Beker. The show also features weekly viewer polls, Shaun’s bitting personality in his weekly rant and torridly candid behind the scenes point of views with Shaun and his partner in comedy crime Mark Wigmore.

Shaun Proulx
Shaun joined 103.9 PROUD-FM as the publisher and editor of GayGuideToronto.com, where he also writes to popular daily gossip blog, 'Loose Lips', noted as 'uproariously funny' in eye Weekly's 'Best Of 2006' issue. He contributes to the 'Style' and 'Toronto' sections of the Globe & Mail, and is a scene columnist with Xtra. Most recently he weighed in on closeted entertainers on MuchMoreMusic's 'Popaganda' and reported on cruising for a segment on CBC's The Hour, which, according to The Hour producers, achieved a show first, making the studio audience collectively gasp in shock. Imagine!   Shaun co-produced first film last year, the documentary on Fashion Cares DecAIDS - Anything Is Possible, which aired nationally on Global TV, won 'Best Full-Length Documentary' at the 5th annual New York AIDS Film Festival, and a bronze award for social documentary at WorldFest in Houston, Texas.

Mark Wigmore
12 years into the business of radio, Mark Wigmore hardly thought he would be in the position finds himself in. Paired up with Shaun Proulx every afternoon like a couple of tropical fish visible from their studio fishbowl at the corner of Church and Wellesley Streets in downtown Toronto.  When Mark isn't trying to keep the censors from pulling the plug on the Shaun Proulx Show, he is out in the mornings and evenings covering the best in entertainment. From theatre to film, ballet, comedy and music, Wigmore brings his down to earth take on the fine arts to the airwaves every morning and afternoon on PROUD- FM.  When not on the airwaves, you can read his articles on AOL Canada's homepage, SceneAndHeard.ca or flip through the Globe and Mail and keep and eye out for his name.
