Two Men In A Boat: Chasing Spring

Join Jeremy Norman and Derek Frost as they chase spring up the western coast of the UK. Jeremy once heard that spring moves up the British Isles at the pace of a walking man, last year he and his partner Derek set out to see if it's true. They chartered the 25 metre motor-yacht Kalani and along with a crew left Moushole in Cornwall at the beginning of April headed for the Isles of Scilly just off the South West coast of England. Over the course of the next 6 weeks their journey will take them from the Scillies northwards to Wales, along the coast of Wales then across the Irish Sea to Northern Ireland. After exploring Northern Ireland they will head back across to the Mull of Kintyre in Scotland. From there they will travel up through the Inner Hebrides and on to the Outer Hebrides, their journey ends in St Kilda, if they make it!

Why not join them and experience the journey along with them? On the way you'll get to see the amazing diversity of nature that the UK has to offer, a wealth of wildlife and historic sites from castles to schools, some of the greatest achievements of the Industrial Revolution and some of the oldest and quaintest attractions that the British Isles have to offer. You'll also get to meet some of Jeremy and Derek's friends; from artists to Landed Gentry, from lighthouse keepers to lock keepers, we meet fascinating people and learn about their lives and passions. There is something for everyone in Chasing Spring.
