Sordid Lives: The Series is the hilarious but touching story of a small town Texas family presided over by Peggy, a good Christian woman who begins a secret affair with a married man just as she takes in the town bar singer (who has just been released from prison). Peggy’s wild child daughter LaVonda lives with Peggy’s chain-smoking sister Sissy, while good girl Latrelle hides a growing pill problem.

Peggy’s third child “Brother Boy” Ingram is locked in a mental institution where he performs as Tammy Wynette. He plots to escape while he attends therapy sessions with the crazy Dr. Eve who believes she can ‘dehomosexualize’ him and thereby achieve fame on daytime TV.

LaVonda’s white trash best friend Noleta lives in a trailer in Sissy’s backyard and is becoming increasingly unhinged as she discovers that G.W., her husband with two wooden legs, is cheating on her.

Peggy and G.W. begin their affair at Bubba’s Bar in town amidst a small crowd of regulars including brothers Wardell and Odell, Bitsy the bar-singer and this bar’s very own crazy old fly Juanita. They are galvanized into action as the Baptist Church in town decides to try to close down the bar.

Meanwhile, Latrelle’s son Ty is an actor living in Los Angeles and struggling to come to terms with his homosexuality. He has his first boyfriend and attempts to deal with his stalker ex-girlfriend while coming out to his friends and family…

As a prequel to the award-winning play, this is the universally relatable story of a town of family and friends and the trials and tribulations they go through as they learn to see each other for who they are instead of who they wish each other to be. Sordid Lives: The Series puts the fun back into dysfunctional!

Episode 1 – The Day Tammy Wynette Died – Part 1
Peggy is missing. Her daughters Latrelle and LaVonda search for her at the request of her sister Sissy. Peggy’s mental patient son Brother Boy is heart-broken to learn that Tammy Wynette has died. Noleta and GW, the couple who live in a trailer next to Sissy’s house, fight because he wants to take off his prosthetic legs to have sex. Latrelle’s son Ty is in therapy and nervous about auditioning for a gay play.

Episode 2 – The Day Tammy Wynette Died – Part 2
Tammy Wynette’s ghost asks Brother Boy to carry on her legacy, and he has his first dehomosexualization session with the new therapist Dr. Eve. Bar singer and ex-con Bitsy Mae Harling introduces Peggy to the local bar where she meets G.W. Ty meets beautiful Jacob at the play audition and is confronted by Sara, his ex-girlfriend. Brother Boy makes a life-threatening decision.

Episode 3 – Pills, Poison & Penises
The family learns Brother Boy is in trouble, and Latrelle gets caught stealing while they are visiting him at the mental institution. G.W.’s legs are repaired after Noleta shot holes in them, and Juanita tries to win a Willie Nelson radio contest that has been over for two years. Noleta buys rat poison after threatening to kill G.W. or herself. Sara catches Ty and Jacob in a revealing situation.

Episode 4 – Secrets and Lies
Latrelle escapes after getting caught stealing by Bumper, the security guard. Bitsy learns who burned down her trailer – the crime that sent her to prison. G.W. thinks Noleta has poisoned herself. Ty is confronted by Max about his habit of lying and decides to make a change. Dr. Eve explains her dehomosexualization therapy to Brother Boy’s family.

Episode 5 – The Fall and Rise of Brother Boy
Brother Boy recovers from his recent scare. G.W. and Peggy’s begin sneaking around in secret. Sissy and LaVonda are kept awake by the neighbor’s pet goat. When it eats her prize violets, Sissy takes matters in her own hands to make sure the goat will not bother them again. Ty meets Walker, an older gay neighbor, who encourages him to come out of the closet.

Episode 6 – Call Waiting
Latrelle spies on G.W. and Peggy while Noleta thinks G.W. is dead because he didn’t come home last night. LaVonda pieces together the actual story from everyone in town and then creates an elaborate cover up to protect Peggy, convinces Latrelle she did not see anything and hides everything from Noleta. She plans a trip to visit Ty in Los Angeles.

Episode 7 – An Audacious Affair
Bitsy and the bar gang decide to storm the church to confront the jury that wrongly convicted her. Brother Boy negotiates with Dr. Eve to continue therapy if he can perform as Tammy. Noleta is convinced G.W. is having an affair and Juanita shows up saying she has some kind of evidence. Ty is trying to be honest with everyone, but Sara will not accept that he is gay.

Episode 8 – Guess Who’s Coming To Bubba’s
Bitsy addresses the hypocrisy in the church, and Peggy explains that she took Bitsy in because she was friends with her mother. Brother Boy is having trouble with Dr. Eve’s tests. Bumper is trying to find Latrelle to get revenge. No one has heard from Latrelle, so Sissy, Noleta and LaVonda go to find her. Juanita is blackmailing Peggy.

Episode 9 – Those Pesky Little Stalkers
Latrelle explains why she has been missing. Jackie, another mental patient, tells Brother Boy she is digging a tunnel out of the institution. Sissy invites Latrelle to stay with her, and Bumper sneaks into Latrelle’s house to attack her. Sara moves in to Ty’s building. G.W. decides to take care of Noleta so he can be with Peggy.

Episode 10 – Desperately Seeking Ty
Latrelle, LaVonda and Sissy fight off Bumper and Noleta shoots at him. A petition is started to close down the bar. Noleta thinks she is going crazy. LaVonda goes to see what Peggy is up to with G.W., and she catches Bitsy with someone instead. Sara refuses to see that Ty and Jacob are together.

Episode 11 – Compromising Situations
Ty tells Sara that he and Jacob are boyfriends and comes out to his best friend. Brother Boy and Jackie make a plan to get out of the institution by blackmailing Bumper. The Baptists picket the bar and Bitsy finds Glyndora has been beat up by Ritchie. Latrelle is recovering and Sissy decides to quit smoking. Noleta fights with G.W. so she can go with LaVonda to LA.

Episode 12 – The Trip
LaVonda tells Noleta the truth about G.W., and they arrive in Los Angeles for the opening of Ty’s play. Noleta meets her fantasy Hunter in real life while Ty’s relationship suffers a huge blow. G.W. makes Peggy an offer, and Bitsy and Glyndora are attacked. Latrelle is fully recovered, Sissy confesses to a crime and Noleta is taken away. Brother Boy blackmails Bumper and he and Jackie put their escape plan into action.
